Ocean Forwarding

We are pleased to act as agents when clients ask us to arrange carriage of freight by sea. Historically this was the original function of the freight forwarder. We have no allegiance to a particular carrier. We will find the best route for our client at the best rates and employ the most reliable shipping company. We prepare bills of lading, insurance certificates, customs documentation and bills of exchange as well as advising on supplementary documentation. We advise on letters of credit, customs procedures, packaging and marine insurance. We find that this approach avoids untold problems later.

Calibre's agents in Antwerp, Rotterdam and Hamburg oversee trans-shipment or dispatches when we ship freight through these ports. Beyond Europe, we have exclusive agreements with partners in Korea and in the USA. Between them, these agents have offices throughout the Far-East and the United States. Calibre Forwarding's representation is effective and world-wide.
